Payson Park Music Festival Launches 35th Anniversary Season With Summer Concerts

BELMONT — June 18, 2025 — Belmont's Payson Park Music Festival returned to its home venue and opened its 35th anniversary season Wednesday with a performance by blues and harmonica artist Cheryl Lorena. The free outdoor series, funded by Belmont businesses including the Bay State Federal Charitable Foundation and Hanami Grill in Cushing Square, was displaced from Payson Park for two seasons before returning this summer. Festival organizer Tony told the crowd the 501(c)(3) organization has 11 additional Wednesday evening concerts scheduled and encouraged residents to check the full lineup at ppmf.org. The band featured Mike DeBarry on guitar, Zach Kasher on drums, Ted Bukowski on bass, and sound by Jerry Gordon, owner of Fun Antiques on Belmont Street.
