Blues Dogs Headline Payson Park Music Festival's 35th Consecutive Season
BELMONT — August 6, 2025 — The Blues Dogs played Belmont's Payson Park Music Festival on August 6, headlining what the band described as the largest crowd of the summer at the free outdoor concert series' 35th anniversary edition. Tommy Olson, the festival's founder and producer, took the stage to mark the milestone, crediting the Blues Dogs with at least 10 years of appearances at the event and noting that "if you didn't come, this wouldn't be anything." East Cambridge Savings Bank, represented by Trapello branch assistant manager Regan McGovern, sponsored the evening and ran a prize-wheel table on site. Olson told the crowd future concerts this season would begin between 6 and 6:30 p.m. to account for earlier sunset and mosquitoes.
