BELMONT — The Belmont Warrant Committee walked through all 11 articles of its November Special Town Meeting warrant without taking any formal positions. Chair Paul Rickter flagged a proposed stormwater enterprise fund and a $100,000 comprehensive-plan funding request as the items needing the most outside briefing before an expected Nov. 12 vote. Member Bill Anderson pressed Select Board Chair Taylor Yeats on the stormwater plan, asking "why are we doing this if we don't know what the financial impact is going to be," while member Max Leiter argued the committee should stay out of politics and simply report fiscal impact.
Officials said the town expects to deauthorize roughly $900,000 in unused library borrowing and allocate $178,000 in one-time state school aid. The committee approved minutes from two earlier meetings by roll call and heard no public comment.
