Belmont Select Board Chair Taylor Yates says another Proposition 2½ override is coming in 2028. In a Belmont Journal interview, Yates said inflation above 3.5 percent outpaces the town's 2.5 percent annual revenue cap, forcing officials into what he called "cutting bone" on services.
