$2.8 Million Deal Could Reshape Banking In Belmont Center

DATELINE — BELMONT A possible $2.8 million transaction in Belmont Center could shake up the neighborhood's banking landscape, Belmont Patch reported Monday, as Town Hall released its August administrative bulletin and the town's election calendar edged toward the September 1 State Primary.

The Town Administrator's office published its monthly TA Bulletin on Aug. 17, the town's regular recap of departmental and administrative news. The release came as Belmont continues preparing for the Sept. 1 State Primary, with early voting set to open Aug. 22 at Town Hall and new primary ballot colors already announced for this fall's election.

Four town boards are on the calendar this week: the Permanent Building Advisory Committee meets remotely Aug. 18, and the Community Path Project Committee, a vote tabulator and ballot testing session, and the Moderator Advisory Council are all set for Aug. 19.
