BELMONT — The Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously approved four special permits and clarified zoning rules for dual-designated properties. Vice Chair Elliot Daniels presided in the absence of Chair Casey Williams at the June 15 meeting. The Board approved residential conversions at 18 Trapelo Road, a deck at 77 Dean Street, story additions at 7 Broad Street, and dormers at 16 Jonathan Street.

The Board voted unanimously to clarify that properties with both General Residence and Local Business III designations—including 11 Grove Street and similar properties—permit both residential and commercial uses as of right without special permits. A three-permit mixed-use application at 23 White Street was continued to July 6.
