BELMONT — Zoning Board of Appeals approves special permit for Van Ness Road deck and hot tub. Chair Casey Williams, Vice Chair Elliot Daniels, and Full Members Alexandra Danahy, Teresa MacNutt, and Carol Berberian unanimously approved Stephan Evans' request for a rear setback reduction from 28.7 feet to 20.9 feet under section 4.2.2A-7. The Board tabled action on Lauren Monovich's second-floor addition at 39 Thomas Street and continued Susan Quan's porch-enclosure case at 69-71 Slade Street to March 2 pending setback measurements and plot plan correction.
The Board also reviewed Chair Williams' draft short-term rental criteria for the Planning Board, focusing on registration, residency verification, annual renewal fees, and fire-safety inspections including carbon monoxide detection.
