Belmont Shade Tree Committee approves prior minutes and ratifies 2023 subcommittee records. The committee heard that 100 trees will be planted by Asplundh as of April 21 and 30 additional trees along Concord Avenue by Wagon Wheel, with fall commemorative plantings funded by a $50,000 contribution in memory of Glenn Clancy. A May 3 beech tree commemoration is set to feature the First Church children's chorus and poetry readings, with the Belmont Media Center planning to film.

Chair Eva Hoffman and member Adam Howe are advancing a draft municipal tree bylaw with revisions due by May 2026 to address comments from former Select Board member Elizabeth Dionne.
