BELMONT — The Senior Tax Relief Working Group agreed to bring town meeting articles on senior tax relief. Chaired by Geoff Lubien, the group discussed relaunching the Senior Tax Work Off Program with 13 of 25 roles filled. The proposed articles would cover a proxy option for work-off relief and a one-time income adjustment.
Kathy Keohane's draft communications matrix was largely approved, with the group agreeing to leverage the Council on Aging for outreach. The group planned to meet with Senator Brownsberger regarding the proxy adoption, which requires Town Meeting approval.
