BELMONT — The Belmont Select Board unanimously approved a hybrid format for the May 18, 2026, Special Town Meeting, allowing it to run concurrently with the Annual Town Meeting to avoid separate reconvening. Chair Matthew Taylor, Vice-Chair Taylor Yates, and Member Carol Berberian supported Town Moderator Adam Dash's proposal. The Board also reviewed multiple warrant articles, including a proposed 1.5 percent salary increase for the Town Clerk beyond the previously proposed raise, revisions to the leaf blower bylaw with enhanced contractor enforcement mechanisms, and amendments to the Common Sewer Bylaw forwarded to the Bylaw Review Committee for further study.
The Board adopted a proclamation recognizing former Select Board member Paul Solomon's six years of service and more than four decades as a Town Meeting Member.
