Select Board · Meeting of May 6, 2026
Belmont Select Board greenlights $431,000 Homer Building restoration and town clerk raise. Chair Matthew Taylor presided over unanimous votes approving a Greenwood Industries contract for slate roof repairs, masonry work, and repointing at the historic building, funded through the Community Preservation Committee. The Board also recommended favorable action on an amendment to Article 27 raising the Town Clerk's fiscal year 2027 salary to $114,773 after discussion of comparable compensation in similarly sized communities.
Members backed a proposed Common Sewer Bylaw and amendment to the Leaf Blower Bylaw and indefinitely postponed Articles 19, 20, and 21, deferring action on right-of-way acquisition funding pending appraisal information.
