BELMONT — Planning Board unanimously approves two-family dwelling at 2 Cherry Street with conditions. Vice Chair Renee Guo, presiding with Members Dan Barry and Alisa Gardner-Todreas and Associate Member Steve Weinstein, approved the Desco Development project pending receipt of updated plans showing a relocated air conditioning condenser and plant species selections from the Shade Tree Committee's approved list. Direct abutters raised concerns about driveway width, proximity to their property, and construction impact.
In separate votes, the board unanimously adopted the Brighton Area Vision Plan, a four-zone development strategy with phased implementation beginning Fall 2026, and designated Thayer Donham as Planning Board liaison to the Community Preservation Committee.
