BELMONT — The Land Management Committee for Lone Tree Hill unanimously approved a Parterre proposal for invasive species control totaling $9,922.08, with the Judy Record Fund covering half the cost. The plan includes Black Swallow Wort control in June for $4,868.06 and woody invasive species management in July for $5,054.02 across multiple zones. Committee members also unanimously approved permission for Belmont Conservation Volunteers to post signage at the site and discussed a bylaw amendment to prohibit unauthorized postings such as Tibetan prayer flags and to authorize the committee to remove them.
The panel moved its March meeting from March 4 to March 11 to avoid conflict with a special town meeting.
