Housing Trust tables LDS consulting contract, eyes fall town meeting on zoning changes
Housing Trust · Meeting of February 10, 2026
Belmont Housing Trust tables LDS contract, seeks cost clarity. Nine members unanimously voted to postpone a proposed contract with LDS Consulting for homeownership monitoring of six existing subsidized units and those coming online at McLean, pending follow-up from Conor McCormack of the Office of Planning and Building on service scope and compensation against a fund balance of $17,368. Members also coordinated a press release supporting the Belmont Center and Center Gateway Overlays ahead of the March 4 town meeting, with Judie Feins enlisting Ellen O'Brien Cushman to disseminate the message through civic platforms.
The trust will hear updates on the Brighton Street redevelopment plan and the second draft of the Comprehensive Plan housing chapter in early April.
