Historic District Commission approves three projects including fence, paint, and mortar work

BELMONT — Historic District Commission approves three Certificate of Appropriateness applications, advancing exterior work citywide. Chair Carl Solander and members unanimously approved Benjamin Moore White Dove trim paint at 27 Wellington Lane and a cedar fence replacement at 486 Concord Avenue, though a motion to add property-line assurance language to the fence vote failed 1-4. The commission also unanimously approved mortar wash replacement at 19 Moore Street on condition that a member approve final color samples on site.
Separately, the board approved its updated HDC Application Process Document and authorized use of a Continuation Request Form; Planning Manager Conor McCormack reported approximately $10,000 is available to fund Design Guidelines consultant Chris Skelly's work.
