BELMONT — Historic District Commission approves signage and updates demolition list. The five-member quorum voted unanimously to place a Belmont Women's Club sign in the archway at 661 Pleasant Street and to approve updates to the town's Demolition Delay Bylaw list, removing a demolished property. Chair Carl Solander and the commission heard from Wendy Murphy about outdoor photo opportunities and landscaping improvements to the Pleasant Street property.
Henry Ogilby was elected Vice Chair for FY2027 by a 5-0 vote with one abstention. The commission also discussed a $9,999 proposal from Skelly Preservation Services to revise HDC design guidelines, with members suggesting they first outline commission goals before proceeding with the consultant's work.
