BELMONT — Economic Development Committee advances Belmont Center Overlay outreach and Brighton Street timeline. The EDAC agreed to refine and release public materials on the Belmont Center Overlay, the zoning initiative members view as foundational to future development, ahead of a potentially formal position vote at the next meeting. Chris Ryan reported that the Brighton Street vision plan is scheduled for Planning Board review January 20 and public meeting January 22, with zoning work potentially beginning if the Board approves in February.
The Committee discussed guest speaker Alan Manoian on economic development coordination models and received alcohol licensing research that may come to a vote at its next meeting.
