Council on Aging plans strategic mission revision

BELMONT — Council on Aging reviews budget, initiates mission statement revision. Director Brandon Fitts presented a FY26 budget showing $366,665 in salary expenses, $73,117 in positive programming reserves, and approximately $98,000 in state grants for seniors over 60, while cautioning that health insurance increases will pressure next year's budget. Chair Mark Paolillo and Vice Chair Andrea Hassol called for comprehensive Board review of the Council's mission statement to guide strategic programming decisions.

The Board confirmed plans for an Age in Place Resource Fair on April 29, with 40 vendors registered.
