Belmont comprehensive plan committee moves toward March zoning vote. The Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee approved a chapter structure for the comprehensive plan and heard from Select Board Member Elizabeth Dionne on the Belmont Center Overlay Zoning Project, which will go to voters at a March Special Town Meeting. Dionne reported that a dozen scenarios all showed net positive revenue for the town, with a hotel component generating room tax and meal tax.
Director of Planning and Building Chris Ryan said some chapters are ready for committee feedback, while others will be ready within two weeks; the committee will hold a February 4 kickoff meeting with consultants from VHB.
