BELMONT — Multi-Year Budget Advisory Committee updates model with sharper health care pressures. The committee, led by members Tom Caputo, Conor McEachern, Matt Taylor, Chris Doyle, and Matt Kraft, reviewed revised budget assumptions showing health care costs growing at 15 percent annually instead of the prior 9 percent estimate, while Chapter 70 state aid declined based on the Governor's draft budget. The committee plans to bring a $1,000,000 free cash allocation to Town Meeting for health care expenses and will meet again to discuss options for closing a projected $1.8 million FY28 deficit.
