BELMONT — Board of Health unanimously approves livestock grazing permit for Rock Meadow operations. The board approved a permit for up to 10 sheep and goats to graze under the pastoral management program, coordinated by Joan Teebagy. A 2025 security incident involving an unauthorized person in the grazing area was caught on camera but not publicized; a post-pounder valued at $50 was also stolen.
Assistant Health Director Diana Ekman reported that food-establishment inspections fell short of the annual target of 275 to 300, prompting Chair Julie C. Lemay to request budget-meeting discussion about adding a short-term intern position to the Health Department.
