BELMONT — Zoning Board of Appeals approved four special permit requests for residential and commercial expansion. Chair Casey Williams and the board voted to permit a mechanical garage expansion at 358 Pleasant Street in the Local Business III zone and second-story residential additions at 125 Channing Road, 62 Vernon Road, and 51 Horne Road in Single Residence C zones, with votes of 4-0-0 and three votes of 5-0-0. Neighbors Michael Pincus and Karen Wong spoke in support of the Vernon Road addition.
The board also continued a three-permit application for a mixed-use building at 23 White Street to July 27 or August 3 pending full board attendance.
