Belmont Board of Health approves body art training course variance. The board unanimously approved an alternate anatomy and physiology course for Sofia Moreira Dias, a body art apprentice at Beauty by Edgy, determining the state-approved curriculum met standards despite being slightly shorter than traditional requirements. In related action, Director Wesley Chin reported that recovery coaches are working with seven residents through the Opioid Abatement program, a Girl Scout Troop will pilot a community food pantry at Waverly Square, and an Eagle Scout project to place Naloxone emergency kits throughout town was presented and well-received by board members.
