Board approves 4% raise for Library Director
The Board of Library Trustees unanimously approved a 4% merit increase for Library Director Peter Struzziero effective immediately, citing his outstanding performance over the past year. Chair Edward Barker Jr. moved the measure and Trustee Tara Donner seconded it.

BELMONT — The Board of Library Trustees unanimously approved a 4% merit increase for Library Director Peter Struzziero effective immediately, citing his outstanding performance over the past year. Chair Edward Barker Jr. moved the measure and Trustee Tara Donner seconded it. In a separate unanimous vote, the board also approved discussion of a market adjustment to bring Struzziero's salary on par with peer library directors.
The board reviewed the process to fill the trustee vacancy left by Corinne McCue Olmsted, targeting a joint meeting with the Select Board for July 28-30. Library Director Struzziero reported that FY26 closed successfully and a draft FY28 budget is in progress with Youth Services as a likely focus.
