Belmont Select Board approved a 24 percent health insurance increase and hybrid town meetings. Chair Matthew Taylor, Vice-Chair Taylor Yates, and Member Carol Berberian voted unanimously on both measures. Town Administrator Patrice Garvin explained that the health insurance increase was necessary to address declining balances in the town's health insurance trust fund ahead of open enrollment.
The Board accepted Town Moderator Adam Dash's formal request for hybrid participation in the May 4 Annual Town Meeting, citing increased accessibility for residents unable to attend in person.
