Belmont retirement board names investment consultant and restores town treasurer and accountant stipends. The Belmont Contributory Retirement Board appointed NEPC as its investment consultant and authorized $1,500 annual statutory stipends each to the town treasurer and accountant, effective January 1, 2026, restoring compensation that state law authorized but that had lapsed. Chair Thomas Gibson and Board member Brian Antonellis requested documentation of services for the record.
The system's preliminary 2026 investment return of 11.9 percent exceeds the 7 percent actuarial assumption.
