BELMONT — Age Friendly Action Committee plans May walkability study and April resource fair. The committee introduced Brian Palmer as its new school committee representative, replacing Zara Abid-Wood, who is taking a leave of absence. The Age in Place resource fair is scheduled for April 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Beech Street Center, with parking coordination underway to ensure seniors can access the lot.
The walkability project, led by Palmer and Judy Morrison, will launch with a pilot study on May 16 from 10 a.m. to noon, designed to build community engagement and support for aging in place initiatives.
